Recycling plasterboard

Gypsum is one of the most used minerals on Earth and Australian plasterboard – 95% A-grade gypsum – is 100% recyclable. It makes sense to use it wisely, so at EcoGypsum we developed a method for diverting 100% of your plasterboard waste from landfill.

We use state-of-the-art equipment to grind, screen and transform waste plasterboard into premium gypsum for use in agriculture and manufacturing. Even the paper is separated and used as compost. The process uses only a fraction of the energy taken to mine virgin material from the earth. So by recycling you’re also taking pressure off landfill and fossil fuel resources.

It’s also good for your business. Our bins are designed for construction contractors – with low sides, rear tailgates and rated lifting lugs – and our site pickup and transport service means you can get on with the job. You’ll also save 35% on tip costs and take a step further towards your GBCA green accreditation.
