Applications

Bagged Gypsum for Agriculture & Horticulture
applicationsGypsum is an excellent calcium and sulphur fertiliser dramatically improving the textural, drainage and aeration properties of heavy clay soils. Its special benefits are that it is fast acting and pH neutral contrasting with other calcium fertilisers that are slower and either raise or lower soil pH.

Gypsum also has applications in the remediation of soil that has been damaged through compaction by heavy stock and machinery, in the recovery of sub-soils exposed by earth movement (contouring, slippage) and in soils affected by salinity found in estuarial berms, dairy effluent and recycled water.

Manufacturing
Once the paper is removed from the gypsum the quality is so pure that the plasterboard manufacturers can use up to 25% in the production of new plasterboard.
